Getting to Waiheke Island or getting around while you visit, there is a great choice of transport options. Passenger ferries leave downtown Auckland, with around 15 sailings daily, for a 35 minute journey with panoramic views of the city, Rangitoto and other islands in the Hauraki Gulf. Most sailings are met at Matiatia Bay by busses, shuttles and taxis. A vehicle and passenger ferry service operates from Half Moon Bay to Kennedy point.
