The Moorings is but a moment's walk from the Matiatia Ferry terminal with it's rental cars, taxis, buses, hire bikes, scooters, kayaks - and only a short walk to Oneroa the primary village on Waiheke Island.

A track leads from The Moorings down to Matiatia Bay, and superb coastal walks.

Our roomy studio apartments are chic, casual and comfortable. Watch boats in the Harbour coming and going from your luxurious king size bed.

• Barbecues, outdoor furniture and umbrellas on your private deck overlooking the Harbour - just bring a friend and share the experience.

•  TV, CD system, magazines, books, games and flowers are provided, for the perfect getaway.

• All cooking facilities, fridge, stainless steel bench tops, white china, and a dining area that opens out on to a large sheltered courtyard with herb garden, citrus, lavender, summerhouse and petanque area, all in shell and sleepers - exclusively for the use of our studio guests.

• Bathrooms are contemporary, with heaters, walkin showers, heated towels, hairdryers, thick fluffy towels and toiletries.

• Each king-size bed is fitted with a thick wool underlay, crisp white cotton sheets, seasonal wool duvet - and pillows galore.
